Summary
“You – you've fought lots of people, Sir Freeman!” Tommy called, and Gordon waved a hand at him in annoyance. “You're very strong!”
“Tommy -” Gordon shifted his weight to glare over his shoulder. “Your highness, respectfully, shut the fuck up.”
“Okay!” Tommy said brightly, and Gordon turned back and shoved the bard through the doorway and into the hall beyond.
“We're done for the day,” he told the hopeful supplicants waiting in the hallway. “There's a dragon, apparently. Ask the bard, he'd love to tell you.” Then he ushered the farmers and guards out as well and slammed the doors.

Summary
Gordon Freeman liked to think that he was, at the end of the day, a pretty decent person. A good one, even. There were some parts of himself that he didn't particularly like, but everybody was like that, right? That was normal! He was normal and sane and fine and, above all else, normal.
A very, very normal man that had to go through very, very insane circumstances.
When he's offered the chance to turn back the clock and try again - to prevent the resonance cascade and the horrors it comes with, not only for Black Mesa but the whole world - he, reluctantly, takes it. His life can go on as it should have, before the cascade. The problem is that the Science Team doesn't remember him, or what they went through together that gave them such a strong bond... and making friends without the pressures of life and death is surprisingly difficult.
It doesn't help that he's also been tasked with killing Benry. Again. The man who he definitely despises and wouldn't mind seeing dead, it's just that he doesn't want to interact with him at all, is the thing. I mean, can you blame him? The inhuman- thing gave him so much fucking trauma, and he can't even go to a therapist for it! He definitely, 100% wants him dead. Mhm.

Summary
“Looking back, it’s obvious. You were always too independent. Too bright, too clever for your own good. You were naïve, Miraak, to think you could best the dragons.”
Miraak grunted something against the snow. He was shivering, burning. Crashing.
“What was that?”
The traitor twisted his head, freeing his lips. “I bested twenty.”Miraak's backstory, according to my headcanons. A story of two brothers who loved Skyrim, raised in a noxious cult.
