Chris decided to go to rehearsals only a few days later, claiming how important it was to finish the drama festival, his right arm in a brace to try and limit his movement. Trevor had been there when the nurse had advised him not to exert himself much and to stay home and relax, Trevor had also been there that morning when Chris had insisted that nurses were ‘terribly overstrung’. Trevor pretended to know what that meant and begrudgingly helped Chris carry his coffee and various stacks of paper into Trevor’s van.
Trevor had offered to stay over at Chris’ for the time being, until he was ok on his own again, and not, as Annie had insinuated, because Trevor fancied him, but because he cared about the wellbeing of Chris as his friend and director. Trevor, did, of course, fancy Chris, though. Unfortunately, the willowy and pretentious man had grown on Trevor. It was a source of a great deal of frustration, and Annie took every opportunity to make fun of him for it.

A pining Trevor is pretty good at hiding his feelings. He has been for years, it's just easier that way; but one day at a lonely strike after another failed performance, an insecure Chris asks too many questions and feelings spill over. Trevor's strange symptoms grow worse over the course of their next show, while the two men try to navigate the new underlying rockyness to their relationship.
