Summary
Monsters were supposed to be a fairytale. A children’s book. Specifically, the children’s book that fifteen year old street rat Rook had in her backpack upon falling under the mountain. But this story is wildly inaccurate; the author had written herself as the hero who stole the monster’s means of escape and protected the human race. In reality, it seems that her time here was spent more as a villain.
But Rook is not a villain, nor is she too interested in being a hero. She’s just a clever, bull-headed kid who’s been through her own share of pain similar to the Underground.
She’s not the angel they asked for, but she just might save them all out of sheer spite.

Quirk: Measures distance in 'nick-nacks’ due to the song nick-nack paddy-wack being what she sang with the kids when they were young to keep them in line during walks.Backstory: The bastard child of a bastard child, Delores lived a lonely and apathetic life under the care of the android that her grandfather made just so he didn’t have to. When he adopted seven babies that had been born out of the blue, she was only vaguely interested, a scientific curiosity more than anything.
But babies are loud, and when they consistently keep her awake at night she finds herself learning to care for them just to shut them up. This soon became a regular thing, and eventually Delores fell victim to the children’s bright eyes and innocence – which didn’t last very long in that house, but nevertheless.
Someone had to raise these kids into semi-stable adults. Her grandfather certainly wasn’t up to the task, so it looked like it was going to be her. -

Summary
Growing up in a Catholic convent taught Brynn a lot about angels, but none of it seemed realistic. That was, until she met her first angel when she was seven, her guardian Michael.
