Summary
Six months after Vi's life falls apart, Jinx goes to check on her sister and finds her in a bad place. Out of some sense of loyalty and love, she invites Vi on a trip to Viktor's cult without reason - but when they start traveling, she notices Vi muttering to herself and flinching at nothing. As time goes on, Jinx watches Vi slip off the deep end and lose her mind, talking to thin air, constantly disoriented and confused, hitting and hurting herself when upset, and refusing to eat, drink, or sleep, and she decides to take Vi back to Zaun and a familiar environment in the hopes of bringing her back to normal. On the way back, Caitlyn shows up, her men having alerted her that something was wrong with Vi, and (after a brief catfight with Jinx) takes her back to the Kiramman home for treatment, where she and Jinx (mostly) set aside their differences and work together trying to bring Vi back to normal. Despite relationship tension between all three of them, Isha the only one who's not involved in some kind of argument, things start going better as all of them slowly mend their relationships and mental states.
And then they figure out that Vi's pregnant.

This fic has expanded far beyond its original scope, to the point that the stranded part isn't going to actually happen until closer to Chapter 30, so here's my attempt at a more accurate summary:
This is a story of Caitlyn and Vi on an Era of Exploration expedition ship to recover a mysterious plant from a remote island. Caitlyn is a talented but overlooked botanist, socially isolated from her peers. Vi is the ship's first mate with a bit of a chip on her shoulder, and an uncanny ability to be friendly without ever letting anyone close enough to be an actual friend.
This is a slo(ooo)w burn love story that embraces all the in-between, boring parts of life where relationships grow, so they're going to spend several chapters each being enemies, then friends, then finally learning to be lovers. They'll spend time together, they'll get to know one another, and their relationship will grow (in a way that I hope feels as authentic to you as it does to me) before their bond is ultimately tested.
There is an MCD, but it's not Caitlyn or Vi.
There is smut in this fic, but this is not a smut fic.
Also, I don't overuse the nickname "Cupcake."

and its funny because she hadnt even gotten that far so she turns to cait who stiffens up like a wet cat, gripping his arm so hard he flinches as she grits out, “it’d be kind of you to let her introduce herself-” and he only gives a half sorry shrug before casually explaining, “feels like i practically know you already, vi. i’ve heard so much about you, shes just being polite, formalities i figure.”

Vi had been staring. Vi had been staring for too long, and she only realised when the girl asked, “Can I help you?” for a second time.
“Cupcake?” Vi blurted, and instantly felt herself wanting to crawl back into whatever hole she’d dragged herself out of this morning.
The woman looked Vi up and down with a confused look on her face. “I’m sorry?”
“Uh.” Vi’s lips quivered as she floundered desperately for an explanation. Her eyes darted to the cabinet of freshly-baked pastries just left of the counter. Cupcakes. Lines of cupcakes with pristine white frosting caps like little mountains. “Cupcakes. You sell cupcakes.”
Still peering at Vi with a bemused expression, the woman at the counter looked down to the cabinet, then back up. “We do indeed, yes.”
“Brilliant.” Vi’s hand shot to her front pocket to fish out her wallet. It fell out of the grip of her slippery palms and fell to the floor with a loud clatter. She scooped it up off the ground. “I’ll take twenty.”

Summary
She has accepted that her body belongs to a corpse, now.
She barely even registers when her back hits the ocean floor.
Finally, her lungs betray her. An involuntary breath sends the ocean flooding in.
Violet's eyes fly open, and her body seizes with the agony of it, but, mercifully, the sensation doesn't last long, and she feels herself slipping into a sweet unconsciousness.
Before her eyes can fully close, fully send her to where she so desperately wants to be, movement catches her eye.
All at once, her vision is filled with blue.
Blue eyes, blue hair, blue clothes.
The blue of the darkest night sky. The blue of the deepest depths of the ocean.
Vision blurred and dotted with black, Violet can never make out the face of the woman kneeling by her side.
Kneeling next to her death bed.
A warm, welcome hand reaches out, cupping Violet's cheek with a tenacious, grounding grip.
But Violet is too far gone.
"This is not where we are supposed to be," the woman speaks.
But the end of the sentence fades out, and Violet loses consciousness.

“Too short,” Vi barked when Caitlyn’s forehand landed inside the service line. “Under pressure you back off. Can’t afford that against the big hitters.”
Caitlyn rolled her eyes, lifting another ball from the basket. “And you always hit over the baseline.” She feathered the next shot just over the net, a taunting drop shot that made Vi grunt and scramble forward.
Vi scooped it up with ease, but she was smiling as she flipped the ball back. “Who’s the coach now, huh?”
Caitlyn is a pro tennis player from London competing in the WTA. She struggles to win major titles since she beat Vi in the Wimbledons. She started switching coaches frequently but never seems to work out her problems. As a last resort, Caitlyn turned to Vi, a WTA rising star until she suffered a career-ending injury at that Wimbledon match against Caitlyn. Vi now work as a coach in a tennis institute in her hometown Chicago. She seems still holding a grudge against Caitlyn.

*4) Try not to fall for the pretty leader of the Heroes' Guild in the process...(League of Legends meets Potionomics! Only the base plot and setting are inspired by Potionomics, and there's no need to have played it to understand the story, but it's a wonderful game that I highly recommend!)
