Sarutobi doesn’t open the folder so Kakashi does it for him, flipping to a weathered piece of paper with a stamp of his birthdate, the head obstetrician's signature, hastily scrawled, right over the name of Kakashi’s mother with a Wave stamp.

Or, a silly little fic where Kakashi is part Uzumaki, is legally married into the Uchiha clan, adopts all the people, is a brat in the face of authority and gets saddled with the hokage hat as punishment. Oh, and along they way he fixes canon, mary-sue like <3

Summary
He knows how to be angry, to be frustrated and to lash out. To tell people to fuck off, or curse like a sailor. Or to stare off into space once he realizes someone has tampered on his father's grave again and be depressed and rein in his urge to cry and sob like a damn child. He doesn't know how else to express anything else, not his happiness, not his wants, not his desires.
Wants are for the privileged, for civilians. Certainly not for someone like Kakashi, the only living member of his clan and a veteran Shinobi.

When Kakashi has an odd dream about Obito messing up during training, as usual, he simply thinks he’s been spending too much time with the bumbling moron. When Kakashi watches his dream play out in real-time, he reasons with himself that it was simply a memory processing error—he’s seen Obito’s blunders so often that his brain was misremembering things. It was the dream of Rin spilling ramen on Obito during a “mandatory team bonding exercise” Minato-sensei has them do every month that shook him. He had watched it play-out in real time last night. There was nothing he could do to stop it, either. He knew what they would say before they said it and his knee jerked under the bar top in an attempt to react before the bowl had even hit Obito’s lap. He brushed it off as a fluke. A one-off. An accidental twist of fate.
Then it was Guy’s newest training regime. Asuma was caught smoking. Inoichi’s marriage contract had been confirmed. Rescuing the newest member of his ninken.
One time is happenstance, twice is a coincidence. Anything past that has Kakashi assuming intent.
