"My love, this is perfect," Brassius cooed, his tone going from exuberant to soft in an instant as he gently brushed strands of hair behind Hassel's ear.
"It is hardly what you imagined," leaning into the touch with a sigh, Hassel tried to bite back his tears, his bandmates would only tease him about it again if they saw him cry. "It is not fair Brassie." Hassel began. "You wanted something bigger, something grander than this!" Hassel gestured to the chipped walls outside of courtroom number two as he spoke.

Summary
Ferdinand began to run his bare hand through the short hair at the back of Hubert's head, the warmth from his fingertips seeping through to the sensitive skin at the nape of his neck. Hubert had to repress a shameful shiver at the touch.
"I know what you are doing," Hubert tried to inject venom into his voice, but it was rather difficult to do so when his body leaned into Ferdinand's touch.
"Oh? What is it you think I am doing?" Ferdinand asked with faux innocence dripping from his tone as he dragged his nails along Hubert's scalp.
Hubert bit his lip to silence any sigh that might escape so he may maintain his composure. "You want me to sleep when there is so much left to do,"
"Darling, could you read me the last sentence you wrote?"

Summary
Hubert's first kiss is with the man he adores and it goes very righ-wrong- very wrong indeed.
"You have my deepest apologies," Ferdinand murmured at last as he untangled his hands from Hubert's hair and stepped back. Hubert let his hands fall to his side too, out of Ferdinand’s mane, and mourned the loss of his warmth that stoked the fire in his chest. He was halfway to reaching out, to assuring Ferdinand that the contact was very much so reciprocal and it was due to Hubert’s negligence in his studies that led to what must have been an unpleasant kiss for Ferdinand, when Ferdinand continued to speak. "I think they have left now, but we should still be cautious."
Hubert felt his heart sink at the realisation.
Ferdinand did not love him.
He had spotted the vile creatures they were searching for and in an area with little cover, devised a plan to secure both of their lives.
Hubert would be impressed if he were not so thoroughly trounced by his mortification.

“C’mon Edgeworth, you think I would leave them like that?” Phoenix batted his eyelashes, an action he would have been ashamed of, if it were not for the way Edgeworth’s lips tugged upwards.
“Simply stay safe, Wright,” Edgeworth placed a hand on Phoenix’s shoulder and squeezed, as if it could convey the unspoken words between them.
