Summary
Technically it's not Tommy, Tubbo or Ranboo's job to protect people. Technically they are thieves who steal for a living. But an ex-hero's training in combat makes for a lot of internal conflict when your district (and the districts around it) is full of crime and desperation. So they made a promise, every time they went out for a bout of petty thievery they would be on the lookout for people in need of help. It was an ok plan; they only ever had to follow it once a month when they really needed money for food and rent, but unfortunately, heroes don't take kindly to people without a license using enhancements to fight crime. So, even after a lucky opportunity to change careers, SBI is set on their tail and a whole mess of wind-ups and paranoia ensue.

Summary
A Coffee Shop AU about Ranboo, a new student to the city and university, stumbling across The Crows Roost Cafe for some food and he finds so much more than that.
A feel good found family story, this follows Ranboo meeting Sleepy Bois Inc and some other recognizable faces, from someone used to being alone to then finding warm companionship served up with his favourite cinnamon vanilla tea.
This will be a multi-part fic telling of how having a support system, even found off random happenstance, can be the best thing that happens to someone.

Mark looked down at Tubbo as the older hugged his knees tightly to his chest. “I know this sounds silly but. . . do you— do you think that if I could talk to Dream, then I could convince him not to hurt anyone?” Tubbo asked, his voice soft but it sounded like he was on the brink of tears.
Mark felt his heart shatter. As much as Tubbo talked about how he hated Dream, Tubbo still wanted his big brother figure back.
As much as Mark wanted to feed Tubbo’s optimism, Mark knew he couldn’t. “I don’t know,” was all Mark could offer to Tubbo.

In which, Tommy and Tubbo’s celebration of coming out of hiding is put to a complete stop after it’s shortly revealed that Dream - their older brother figure and a dangerous villain - has broken out of Pandora’s Vault.
What is it that Dream wants? Tommy and Tubbo themselves.
The heroes that put Tommy and Tubbo under their care now have to find a way to protect the two teens from Dream. But is it enough to keep the monster at bay?
