Summary
Buck knits his brows together. Hen and Chimney were right. He can’t remember the last time he’s needed to have the weight of Eddie’s hand pressing down on his shoulder to feel his calming influence cut through the hectic energy from an emergency call so that he could pinpoint the exact location of another person trapped in a fire. Or, when he no longer needed to hear Eddie’s voice to be able to quel the rage within him. Their bond has grown beyond that of a normal working sentinel and guide partnership.
He glances up from the floor and looks towards Eddie. Eddie, who’s on the other side of the firehouse. Eddie, who’s already looking back at him, head tilting as a contemplative look passes over his features. Buck feels his heartbeat return to normal with just that glance, solidifying his thoughts.
He was fucked.
