Summary
The stone tape theory explains how rocks and soil retain every reverberation of the past. The memories echo off the ancient stone like the most haunting opera. Events of the distant past play like a recording that only the earth remembers. Intense feelings are permanently imprinted within the geo. But for Zhongli, this theory was far more than just a recollection of memories. She remembers every sensation the world records through geo. Every triumph, every calamity. Every tear shed, every laugh heard. Every death and every life was stored safely within the stone with Zhongli as the story's prophet.
And yet, every memory became rewritten the moment she met that damn 11th fatui harbinger. In fact, her entire world changed the moment amber eyes met ocean blue ones. Zhongli was done for the moment she saw that mischievous yet sweet smile. Childe, the Tsaritsa’s favorite weapon. For a god like Anastasya, she simply saw the potential of the weapon before her with the ferocious warrior. For a god as old as Zhongli, she saw eternity. She saw the past and future, she saw the person beneath that rough exterior. She saw the world in those sweet blues.
