Summary
For his entire life up until this day, Diluc’s trifold ambition was as one. To be a knight, to protect Mond, to protect his family; these were all the same goal with different words.
Today, already, he has failed half of his family, and the Ordo has shattered the illusion that it serves any interest but its own. In the hours that have passed since then, he has clung onto the bleeding remains of his ambition, to protect Mond and to protect Kaeya. Now, he learns that one day even this may fracture into two irreconcilable pieces.
