Based very loosely on events from The Long Game that my brain wanted to put into the first book, somewhere between Shane’s injury, and before Scott Hunter wins the cup - for maximum angst, obviously.
What if Ilya’s plane had actually crashed? And what if it had happened before he and Shane had the chance to confess their love and know what it was like to be together.
Or
A fic so I could write a really needy Shane who can't hide his feelings anymore, and an Ilya who is faced with the undeniable truth that someone cares for him.

Summary
I didn’t expect the first story to turn into a series, so after Ilya’s POV of Vegas, IT IS NO LONGER CANON COMPLIANT.
I put the timeline on shuffle and let my fingers dance on the keyboard. But I’m really proud of it, so I hope you all like it!!
I’m pretty sure this is complete, but if a follow up comes to me in my sleep, I am not opposed to opening it back up. So let me know what you think!

Summary
It all started with a photo from an aquarium in Montreal. A shy fan nervously approached the two Metro’s players and asked for a photo. The photo was dark, all blue light from the large tanks. Shane stood there and smiled awkwardly, Hayden’s baby cradled to his chest. Hayden had his arm around the fan, a wild smile on his face.

-They should kiss, just like for science or somethingHayden Pike and Shane Hollander's bromance goes viral for some reason, complete with interviews and photoshoots all planned by Yuna Hollander. The interviews, photos and edits are all over Ilya Rozanov's timeline and driving him out of his mind.
There is a game in Montreal in one week, Ilya would remind Hollander who owned him and put Pike in his place. Seven days until he got his hands on the one person that could make him feel this crazy.
