Summary
The second War for the Dawn is lost before it has even begun. With a little help from the Old Gods, Bran sends the last surviving Starks somewhere they can make a difference: back in time. Alone in an unfamiliar place, scattered and separated from each other, they must save the dragons and their house from death and madness. The survival of all humanity depends upon it.
Alternatively: Jon discovers just how messy that side of the family can get, Arya is forced to concede that some problems can't be solved by sticking them with the pointy end, and Sansa finally gets to play the game of thrones. This time around, it is a woman they will call Kingmaker.

Summary: When Dr. Michael Chen, a mechanical engineer with a penchant for lean manufacturing, wakes up in the freezing body of a newborn Eddard Stark, he knows two things: Winter is coming, and the current technological level of Westeros is woefully insufficient to survive it. Determined to save his family from their canonical fates, Ned replaces honor with infrastructure. When Stannis was gone, Renly couldn’t help but look up once more, towards the comet hanging in the sky. Bright red, and so far away. It had appeared last night and would surely vanish from the sky within the evening, continuing its course through space away from the planet with no name where Renly had been reborn. The planet where, he knew, he would face dragons and monsters born from the cold.
Renly turned away. The comet did not mean anything. He had more pressing matters to attend anyway. He was going North to meet the infamous Ned Stark. With any luck, maybe he would finally find the beginning of the Plot.
Or maybe the Plot would find him.
