Summary
Before Wei Wuxian can say he will join Jiang Cheng and attend the Wen indoctrination, a letter describing the burning of the Cloud Recesses reaches Lotus Pier.
Realizing the danger to the Jiang sect, he decides to stay behind to help with the defenses and keep his sect safe. While he agonizes over the fate of the disciples sent as little more than hostages, he upgrades the wards of the Jiang sect to stand against the inevitable Wen army.
Lotus Pier will survive, and Wei Wuxian changes his own fate and the fate of the Sunshot Campaign.

Summary
Su She had always been suspicious of his neighbor, someone who lived in the same apartment building as him, since he moved in there two months ago.
At first, he was intrigued by the man. He was very handsome, but very quiet. When Su She tried to talk to him, he gave minimal response. He was polite, but did not seem to enjoy talking much to anyone.
He was always impeccably dressed too, to the point that Su She found himself taking notes, and tried to find similar clothing styles like him. He found out that the clothes he wore were high-end designer labels, so he resorted to find the cheaper versions instead.
Su She always wondered if the man was single. He had never seen anyone with him. He later found out that the man was married, but had never seen any signs of other people coming in or out of his apartment. Was it really true? Or was just his attempt to keep people away? Su She will find out!
The latest fic in the series, in which Su She became envious of his neighbor and tried to dig in more about him, and his (supposedly, but probably non-existent) wife.
