Summary
The sight of it made the hairs on the back of Kakashi's neck stand up. It looked so human—but Kakashi knew it wasn't. For a moment, Kakashi had thought this must be a ninja from one of the shark-featured clans from Kirigakure. It would have been easy to explain.
But Kakashi knew this was something different. Something he'd never seen before.
When Kakashi is badly injured on a solo infiltration mission to Kirigakure, he figures he's as good as dead.
He never expected something in the ocean would prove to him he's worth saving.

Summary
Through stubbornness and what Kakashi calls a ‘dazzling display of heart,’ Iruka somehow befriends the CEO of Hatake Corp, Hatake himself. And no, despite what Iruka’s friends might think, Kakashi is not his sugar daddy. Kakashi is giving and selfless, and he’s Iruka’s friend, kind and reliable. Sure, he does constantly try to buy Iruka things, and he’s attentive, almost overwhelmingly so, but that’s just how he is: Kakashi is lonely. He’s not used to having friends.
Besides, their relationship is totally platonic. There's no sugaring. If anything—and this is a big if—he’d be something like a… Sugar Friend. Yeah, something adjacent to that.
Iruka is becoming increasingly unsure if that is actually true.
