    Mild warnings for: somehow, in the writing of this, the story started to sound like one about a kid with a background of abuse and who also attempts suicide. Which, I guess it really is that. (And it's not even deviating any from canon, except in perspective; old Disney films, I tell ya).

    METSON-013 is the 14th iteration of the Metal Sonic line, and he's determined to also be the last.

    His core objective is to surpass Sonic the Hedgehog. Years of failure, doubt, and uncertainty have led him to draw one conclusion on the subject: if he ever wants to fulfill his objective, he needs to get away from the Doctor.

    That conclusion leads him to a second conclusion: his best chance of remaining out of the Doctor's clutches is to disguise himself and live amongst organics until he gets the resources for a better plan than that.

    Living a quiet, anonymous life shouldn't be difficult.

    (He'll soon find out that it's the hardest thing he's ever done.)
