With a spell found in the Belmont Hold and an unexpected source of powerful magic from Dracula's castle, Sypha attempted to buy them more time when they found themselves overrun by enemies and out of options. She hadn't intended to go too far back in time, just enough to get the upper hand against their foes. A wish once spoken in grief, however, would change the course of history.

Summary
Just as they start thinning the crowd, Trevor dripping with sweat and viscera and exhaustion, another wave appears and he curses loudly. Despite his failing vision, he can see Sypha faltering, can see Alucard’s unnatural paleness and the shaking in his hands. It hits him, then, like jumping into a river in the middle of winter. It chills him to the bone and makes his heart clench with an emotion he does not want to name. He fights with a renewed vigor, if only to make time.
He’s starting to lose it, lose time, lose himself to the repetition of slashing and slicing and stabbing.

So. The other thing Wei Ying had come to learn over the past two weeks was how his hero-worship (Jiang Cheng’s phrase) of the war hero Hanguang-jun, had changed into a flaming lust for Lan Wangji, only to be rudely surprised to find the lust was just a small subset of a massive and almost overwhelming at times crush on his current night hunting partner. He honestly thought he’d done well, though, keeping all that to himself, and then his big, fat mouth had said, “I want to stay with you,” with the slightest bit of plaintive whine, if Wei Ying was being ungenerous.
OR: A night hunting road trip (that Wei Ying is not supposed to be on) with his childhood hero (who is now a DILF). Absolutely nothing embarrassing or wrong or heartbreaking can happen here. Nope.
