Zanka's getting real sick of Jabber having the upper hand. No matter the occasion, no matter what area, the Raider always seemed to be one step ahead. And it seemed like it was going to stay that way.
At least, until a strange encounter reveals one of Jabber's potential weaknesses. Gentle affection.
This was Zanka's chance. He could finally get one over on Jabber. If it weren't for one tiny problem. Zanka's own weakness: these strange, soft feelings he's been having for Jabber.
But it's fine. All he has to do is suppress them, squish them down. Out of sight, out of mind. He was going to get a win against Jabber, a win that counted.
You see, in spite of everything, Zanka hasn't exactly learned to stop being arrogant.
It'd be fine. He can do this. Jabber won't ever have to know about these feelings.

Based off of a twitter post by m_gentakeda. This was one of their drafted ideas, 'janka being protective of each other's jinki's' and I got inspired.

Summary
Zanka, a third year university student comes home to his rented townhome he shares with his boyfriend Jabber, and he's exhausted. What he wasn't expecting was to see a trail of rose petals leading all the way up to their shared bedroom. Low and behold, there Jabber was, in a sexy satin purple robe, laying on their bed with a large blue ribbon on his neck and a rose in his mouth. Cliche, but Zanka was so into it.
...
"Hey, baby...Happy Valentines day." Jabber winked at his boyfriend, wincing in joyous pain when the roses thorns pierced his lip. Zanka blinked a few times before shrugging off his jacket and outer layers, climbing onto the bed with him.

Even in a world filled with mystical beings, there will always be some outliers. It just so happens that jabber is that outlier. now does that stop him from being obnoxiously himself? no it does not. But it does make it a lot harder to love. jabber accepted that fact, so what does he do when the thing he accepted gets thrown in his face?
He runs. very, very quickly.
