He side-eyes Dazai, still in the kitchen from when he’d abruptly stood from the table, wordlessly abandoned them all, dumped his champagne in the kitchen sink, set a kettle for tea, and is now....chopping vegetables. For soup. Atsushi’s not really over the way he’d answered Atsushi’s question, said it with the flattest, most this-should-be-obvious voice ever, then ignored him.
“Oh don't worry,” Kenji tells him, brightly, “Dazai-san told me it's just a city person thing!”
It isn’t reassuring.

But he didn’t need to be, there was always another job to do, Mori had his best executives stacked with work constantly. And if it wasn’t Mori, Dazai would keep him busy. Honestly? Most times it was both, with little regard for the other’s demanding antics.

“Turn around, look at him and tell me if he’s capable of taking care of himself.” Dazai says, voice as sharp as his gaze. The car swerves from one lane to another. Hirotsu doesn’t look back.

“It’s about earlier?” He asks at last, thumb rubbing over the back of their hand. It’s comforting, grounding even, but still Sigma shifts in uneasiness. Dazai doesn’t wait for a response, tugging on their arm as he stands, origami abandoned on his desk as he turns to glance over his shoulder. “Kunikida-kun~ we’ll be heading out now.”
