Severus looked down and came face to face with a miniature version of himself. The boy’s big green eyes, Lily’s eyes— Severus made the connection without meaning to— peered up at him through dark, wet lashes. He was covered in bruises, his clothes stained with blood. They looked like rags the way they hung off his bony frame. It was the middle of summer, arguably one of the hottest mornings so far; the boy was still trembling.
Aunt Petunia makes a nasty comment about Lily, a lie meant to make herself feel better about her own life. Harry believes it. His dad didn’t die in a car crush with his mum, he’s still alive! And his name is Severus Snape.
Magic is belief. Magic is intention. Magic is love— Harry Potter really wants to be loved. He really wants a dad too.
Magic decides to make it true.

He nodded along with her, accepting both the pen and the documents she handed him, mumbling out an uninspired “I’m sure he is.” before her words penetrated the thick fog of exhaustion and the general displeasure that came with filling out hospital paperwork for his reckless subordinate when he should be asleep, thank you very much.

Despite her open and well-deserved distaste for them, that woman was a politician at heart.

The first week passed with the kind of incredulous exasperation Harry usually held for his aunt and uncle, it’ll pass, he assured himself, they’ll tire themselves out sooner or later.
When one week became two, when the bucket was full and food became scarce, Harry realised the Dursley’s weren’t messing around.In which The Weasley's recognise Harry is being abused instead of letting him go home to the Dursley's every friggin summer.
