Using Caine as a way to avoid Pomni's relentless attempts to bond is the perfect move! Caine is an idiot who can literally teleport him out of the Circus and away from the Jester at a moment's notice! It's an excellent plan.
... Until it starts backfiring, that is. But by the time he notices that, it might be too late for him to take it all back...

Jax just arrived at the circus. With the help of Ragatha, Kaufmo, and Kinger, he slowly gets used to the absurdity of the world. His feelings towards Ragatha are confusing, to say the least, and Ragatha is too anxious most of the time to even think about hers on him.
They grow closer throughout the adventures and activities of their new lives, learning about each other along the way, and maybe even seeing each other in a new light?
However, when Ribbit arrives in the circus, things take a turn, somewhat for the worse.
