Oh, and how Corbeau fervently wanted them to survive and live to tell this tale.
Or: when Philippe got injured during battle in an effort to protect Corbeau, it was now up to the Rust Syndicate boss to save them from being mauled by Rouge Mega Evolution Pokémon. What he does next was not only a scientific breakthrough, but a sign that their love would persevere, no matter how grim Lumiose city came to be.

For his finishing blow, he lightheartedly joked, "You've raided my closet and nabbed my hoodie, too, so are you really still cold under all of that protection, Corbeau?"
Or: Philippe's morning on a winter day, featuring heavy snowfall, errands that still need to be finished, and a cranky boss that substituted his missing right-hand man by stealing his hoodie.
