Summary
Midoriya Izuku was elated when All Might offered him One for All. He was crushed when All Might retracted the offer and gave it to someone else. But it's okay! Izuku's never been a quitter, so if he can't be a hero, he'll just have to save people some other way! He really doesn't mean to befriend a bunch of people in UA's hero course and impress them enough that they show Eraserhead (Izuku's favorite underground pro-hero!) his notebook. He certainly doesn't mean to be forcefully taken in as Nezu's student and end up partaking in border-line vigilantism, not necessarily in that order. And he really, definitely, one-hundred-percent, does not plan on getting One for All anyway.
But he's really glad he's finally made some good friends!

Summary
He can’t do it anymore. He just can’t do it. His father, his teachers, his friends- Kacchan- they're all right. He’s held on for so, so long, all for three people: himself, his soulmate, and his mother. But he's just lying to himself, isn’t he? His mother would be better off without him. Sure, she’d mourn the loss of a son, but her lover would return and she could have her life back. As for his soulmate, they clearly don’t want him. He doesn’t know why, or what he did, but they wouldn’t talk to him anymore. So all he does, at this point, is cause them a lot of pain. He doesn’t blame them for hating him, really. They obviously have their own issues. They don’t need his, too.
That only leaves living for himself. And he can’t do that. He's hurting his mom and soulmate. He's getting in his classmates’ ways and making the teachers’ jobs more difficult. No matter his dreams, he can’t be a hero, so he’ll never be able to make up for all of the suffering he’s caused by existing.
So that’s it. He’s done.

Summary
Shouto just wanted some chicken nuggets from McDonald's, but the cheap Endeavor toy sort of ruined the whole thing. So he sits there, sulking at his Happy Meal, until a nosy Izuku decides to do something about it. It doesn't take more than three play-dates for them to decide that they'll stick together, no matter what kind of shit life might (and does) throw at them.
This can be read as the start of the series (or even as a stand-alone), but the first fic is only 4k so it's up to you. :D
