Summary
New York City is the place to be. Whether you’re an athlete, musician, veteran, or standard celebrity, you will always find yourself in the city at some point or another. Sam’s here for wings. Metal ones, though, he ain’t opposed to trying out the local food scene. He’s been walking through Midtown to pass the time, mildly regretting not leaving earlier with Riley. At least then he wouldn’t be bored out of his mind. Not in the mood to spend money or make a huge time commitment, the jumper resolved just to wander the city. Might as well, after all, he needs to stop by Stark Tower to talk to Richie Rich’s guys about his new wings.
Elsewhere, in a different time, Bucky is doing the same. The Stark Expo is set to open up later, but Bucky is restless. Stevie’s supposed to be joining him, but Lord knows he’ll get into at least one brawl before the night’s begun. He should be looking for him, keeping him out of trouble, so neither of their mothers steps into an early grave. He won’t, though. Instead, he’s in Manhattan, wandering through Midtown, just so he’s near the Expo.
What neither of these young men knows, however, is that very soon, they will meet. In a different time, but the same place.
