“Oh?” I questioned with a small, satisfied smile on my face. “I see you didn’t deny the fact that a warrior could be trying to woo me and save me from harm's way.” A victorious smirk plastered my face as Sylus only rolled his eyes at my continued teasing.
“First, must I remind you that I was the one saving your sorry ass. And second, I doubt any warrior would want to woo you with your attitude.” Sylus replied and although his broad shoulders were faced towards me, I could feel the smug smile that was pulling on the corner of his lips as I let out a sharp laugh before using my foot to push the annoying bastard down.
Or at least attempted to, however, he was unmovable as a boulder—as per usual.
“Nice try, sweetheart. I almost felt it this time.”
“Shut up, you overgrown beast.”

Tying the knot with Sylus hadn’t been the easiest thing to try and organise, your security for the event alone had taken you over a month to plan what with the ever looming threats that hung over the head of your husband to be.
The ceremony itself had gone off without a hitch and you could still remember the way he’d looked at you when you’d entered the venue and begun your descent down the aisle.
With the N109 zone visible in the near distance, the last thing you remember seeing before you were blinded with pain and sucked down in to the depths of clawing darkness was a sudden pair of brilliant white headlights heading straight for you.

Your newly married life with Sylus gets off to a nightmarish start when you're kidnapped, the result of which leaves you fighting for much more than just your freedom.

“Because I can only count on myself,” she whispered into the cool air, the charred logs in the fireplace the only indication the room had once been warm. Goosebumps rose across the exposed skin of her forearms and the Princess went to hug herself. “I am but… all that I have, you see.”
“You had me once, Your Highness.”
“That I did,” Zelda managed to say through shaky exhalation, “but no longer.”
Or in which Link and Zelda were once childhood friends—once.
