The shock burns away immediately; the ashes condense into a murky, muted sort of rage.
He stays still for a long moment, then pulls himself up against the wall. “Okay,” he says monotonously, taking a step toward the kid, and the kid- flinches. He flinches.
Jason reels back, not speaking yet, not trusting himself not to yell. And when he does speak, he says:
“Come on, kid. Let's go say hi to your dad."

Summary
After Drake Industries takes a big hit, Jack and Janet Drake send their son to stay with Bruce Wayne. They assume that he will understand that they are trying to sell Tim to him in exchange for him helping their company. Bruce mistakes the Drakes constant insinuations of comparing Tim to Dick and Jason as them possibly wanting Bruce to adopt Tim. Tim knows everything that is going on, and does not want his whole life to fall apart when Bruce eventually realizes that his parents were trying to pimp him out, so he stays quiet. But after bonding with Jason and Dick, he finds it hard to convince himself that his parents are worth it.

Summary
I’m cold.
Those two words were all Logan needed to know something was wrong with Kurt. The furred mutant was not one for admitting he was cold. Not with out some prying anyways. So when he told Logan, looking tired and saggy eyed, he knew something was up. Especially since it was late spring and Kurt’s fur was beginning to adjust to the warmer temperature. So Logan knew it wasn’t the weather.
