Summary
As she's gotten to know him over the past two years, Suler has realized that she and Maia have more in common than one might expect from an Emperor and a nursemaid. Suler knows that she and Maia are amongst the Star's Children, and Suler thinks that she just might one day speak for the Stars. She's learned how to look with clear eyes and listen carefully through her difficult life. But she certainly can't tell you anything she's learned about her Emperor. She's under oaths, after all. Despite all this, her mind is a safe place to ponder her similarities to her Emperor, and her dav, in all its forms, will hold her close while she can't help but sob. Then finally, one day, she'll be shown unexpected, unabashed understanding.

Summary
A series set from the perspective of Suler, and focused on finding potential connections between her and Maia.
I just want to expand on characters we see but never truly know about. What connections might they have to each other? What have their lives been like? What scenes are missing from canon because Maia's not there?
This is also my first foray into traditional fanfiction, so please be kind!
With one minor exception, I don't intend for it to contradict canon (and if it does feel free to gently tell me, and I might make edits).(For those of you who are curious, technically the meeting with Suler happens before Maia accepts Kiru as his nohecharo, but I'm pretending that sorting through the household staff took a bit longer than expected, and that he accepts Kiru before that meeting.)
