Summary
Arthur Morgan did not intend to survive when he gave his hat to John Marston and stayed behind to gain his redemption. As he crawled towards his final resting place, he never intended to wake up again.
But he does wake up. Thanks to time travelers Francis Sinclair and Charles Smith, Arthur's life has been saved by a Saint Denis hospital in the year 2021. The two men were under orders from a mysterious figure known only as The Traveler to save Arthur, as a reward for turning his life around. Navigating the strangeness of waking up in a different century soon takes a spot on the back burner when a ghost from the past begins to threaten the ranch. Arthur must prove whether he really is a redeemed man as he faces a choice between his old life and the new home he has made in 2021.

Summary
It started with a headache.
What she wasn't aware of was that even with the medication the headache stayed.
The pain was a constant, even with the rather well dosed meds. Also he was suffering dizzy spells in all of his waking hours, not only coming out of the Animus but also sitting down, standing or even lying in bed before or after he slept.
Watching the decline and doing nothing for the end is nigh.

John looks up the street they’re supposed to be flying down in just a half-hour or so and his stomach flips again.
He slowly shakes his head and Arthur steps closer, leaning in to speak very quietly.
“You’re here for the money, right?” Arthur whispers, “Drop out.”
“What?” John asks hoarsely, lifting his head sharply, “I can’t- I need the-”
“You know I’m gonna win,” Arthur whispers, “Let me win, then come back with me to Hosea’s. Hear him out and I’ll give you the money.”
“I don’t…” John breathes in slowly and swallows, “There’s already a bullseye on my back.”
“Well, let us make it harder to hit.”

While he means to laugh, to make light this encouragement, the look that John gives him silences it. “I don’t got one,” he says flatly, a shoulder shrugged up. His fingers press against the redness on his leg, leaving pale welts that fade seconds after he lets up. “Just meant you was nagging me like one might.”
