I’m normally cautious about full-on modern AU Merthur but holy hell this fic has absolutely floored me in the best possible way.
All of the characters are so well-written and, while I’m no sports fan, the soccer action was engaging and easy to follow.
The banter and power dynamic between Arthur and Merlin (Em) is fucking top tier deliciousness that I don’t think I’ve come across in a long time.
Love, love, love and I can’t wait to read it again!

Summary
Arthur has spent his whole life at the village of Tintagel, building boats and sailing out to the horizon on his daysailer - the Avalon. Having no family and no friends, there is just one person he feels truly connected to: a man he meets in his dreams and whose face or name he can never remember upon waking. Arthur writes him letters, knowing that they'll never be answered, and wishes for nothing more than the mysterious M to find him. Then one day a young man shows up, apparently wanting to purchase a boat, and Arthur finds himself falling harder and faster than he ever thought possible.

The imagery of this is everything to me. I have about as much knowledge of sailing as Merlin but I could feel as if I was there with them.
A good reincarnation/memory recovery fic will get me good and this one delivered, especially with Arthur’s dreams and letters.
