Summary
Six months after the Giant War. Percy and Annabeth are living in New York City. They’re recovering. It’s slow. And nonlinear. They’re figuring out how to be teenagers and war veterans. There’s normal teenager stuff — school and sex and, thank Sally Jackson (because it definitely ain’t the gods), therapy. There’s the other stuff too. The things that make them sleep in shifts and have trouble leaving the apartment.
You’re in for some angst, some comfort, some recovery and domesticity, and a fuck ton of me trying to write and Percy and Annabeth saying “screw whatever you were doing, we’re gonna be cute goofballs instead.”

Summary

In the months after the battle, Annabeth and Percy find their friendship more estranged than ever. After a sudden invite to a basketball game at his school, Annabeth hopes that this means their relationship is salvageable after all. It doesn't hurt that a cute friend and teammate of Percy doesn't mind keeping her company while she's there. Unfortunately, Percy doesn't seem to agree.

Summary
She started dabbing the wounds on Percy's face, starting with the gash that ran from where his lip split to his jawbone. The water helped, washing away the blood and knitting the skin back together, slowly but surely.
She felt sick to her stomach as she ran her fingers over the ruined skin on his face. Luke must have struck him multiple times, in the same place, with surprising force. Not with a sword, with his fists. It was enough to bring up her lunch, knowing he was capable of something like this.
