Who would believe that this would happen to Shane Hollander? Who in their right mind would hear this story and not react with "No, that couldn't have been Shane Hollander."
Because the facts were this. Shane Hollander was Not supposed to see Ilya Rosanov during his summer vacation. And Shane Hollander was Not supposed to be get blackout drunk. Shane Hollander was Not supposed to lose his wallet, his phone, his fucking passport. And Shane Hollander was most definitely Not supposed to be going on a weeks-long Road Trip with Ilya. Fucking. Rosanov.
A road trip that was entirely planned by Ilya. A plan that was not shared with Shane. Ilya liked to keep things close to his chest, especially when Shane was involved. And Shane was not ruining his carefree All-American Roadtrip.

Summary
“What the fuck, Rozanov!” Shane shouted in Ilya’s face. His expression was pure vitriol, his dark eyes clouding with anger.
“Sorry, Hollander,” Ilya said, almost sickeningly sweet. “I should’ve realized how easy you’d be to hold down.” He smirked, and he could feel his anger twisting it into something mean rather than the good-natured, mischievous smiles he usually threw Shane’s way during a game.
Ilya knew that his plan had worked when he saw fury flash in Shane’s eyes, and Ilya loosened his grip right as Shane moved to shove against him, hard. He and Shane had gotten plenty physical on the ice, but they’d never gotten into a true brawl before. Well, there was a first time for everything.
OR
During the first Boston vs Montreal game since Ilya found out Shane was dating Rose Landry, he makes a plan to get Shane in his arms anyway…by starting a fight with him on the ice.
