“Holy shit.” he breathes. “Holy shit. Mordrax’s Miracles, this is -this is!” he laughs, delighted about something for the first time in months.
A completely intact Time Stone, right here, with the only person on the continent who knew how to use it (and probably the only person still alive who could).
He takes it into his hands reverently, a dying man who has been given an answer to his prayers, a way to change his inescapable ending. A way to change everyone's endings.
Or: In a world where everything goes wrong, Douxie is the one to go back in time instead.

Jim’s train of thoughts was suddenly cut short as Bular reached him. “Today you die, Trollhunter,” he rumbled. “Yet another Trollhunter killed on this bridge. How…pathetic. The amulet never should have chosen you.”
He raised his two swords and Jim cowered, shielding himself with his trembling arms as he prepared to meet his fate.
Bular’s blade glinted as it came down, and Jim squeezed his eyes shut—
The blades hit, crashing down with the force of a full grown Gumm-Gumm, but…they didn’t quite hit where he expected.
His shoulder and head screamed in pain simultaneously and while Jim knew he shouldn’t scream to not give the satisfaction of his pain to Bular, the sheer agony made him cry out loudly.
“Expecting the sweet release of death already, Trollhunter?“ Bular chuckled. “Oh, no. I intend to drag out your death as long as I can.”
Or, this is an AU where the fight with Bular and episode 13 went a whole lot worse because Jim had only had like two weeks training and he had never even fought anyone before he started training.
Also, because I like hurting Jim, and this seemed like a reasonable way to do it.
