Summary
“Neal heard Peter walk closer and could almost feel the look of intense suspicion from the Agent before a hand gently grabbed his shoulder and turned him around to face his handler. Neal was not expecting the expression that really painted Peter’s face as he met his gaze; far from suspicion, it was one of caring concern.
“You really aren’t feeling well are you?” Peter questioned quietly.”
Their relationship is already strained after the warehouse disaster and Peter isn’t inclined to believe that Neal’s really sick...but sometimes even the best conmen are really just not feeling well and even suspicious agents care about their partners

Summary
Missing scenes from Vital Signs. Basically an excess of adorability, with cuddly Neal acting like a koala and Peter being grouchy and protective. Peter figures something important out about his CI (besides the fact that he's impossible to keep a seat belt on when drugged!), and Neal practices his singing-while-drugged skills on an unappreciative Peter and a very sympathetic El.

Summary
Logically, Peter knew Neal must possess a high level of skill to have pulled the extravagant heists he was suspected of carrying out. Seeing it in the flesh was something else entirely.

Summary
He's living the life he wants.
A few years, even as little as six months ago, he wouldn't have said that. But Neal knows he's living a life he wants. And he's choosing to stay, no matter what the people in front of him decide.
Commuted sentence or not, he's right where he wants to be. And no one is changing that.
(AKA, the s3 finale without the absolute monster that is agent Kramer.)

Summary
“Why’d you start?” he asks suddenly, Peter testing the waters earlier, now diving in head first. “Forgeries, cons, the whole shebang.”
Maybe it’s the lack of sleep, or the stuffy air in the car, maybe it’s just something vulnerable in him begging to be heard for the first time in years, but Neal finds himself answering honestly. Slowly, and carefully, but honestly.
When Peter asks about his past, Neal finds himself indulging.
