Summary
“So… he really is the Merlin?” Tony asked before Sherlock could continue.
Sherlock rolled his eyes. “Yes, Stark. Do keep up.”
“But he’s your brother?” Sam frowned.
The sigh that left Sherlock was long and exasperated. “He’s adopted, obviously. It took me a moment to realize it myself, so I don’t blame your simpler minds for the delay.” He clasped his hands behind his back, pacing slowly. “But once you know the facts, it’s quite simple. How do you best hide as an immortal man?” He pauses and then sighs, like he’s disappointed in them. “By not being one.”OR: Merlin waited centuries for Arthur’s return. But when the time finally comes, he realizes he isn’t ready. Dragged into a crisis by a brother he believes hates him, Merlin is left scrambling for steady ground and his memories aren’t what they used to be.

“You promised me, remember?” Goose said, voice trembling as he wiped seafoam from Pete’s forehead. “You said we’d always come back together. That’s what you told Carole. That’s what you told me.”
The wind gusted again, shaking the little raft.“Come on, you can’t do this to baby Brads… he’s just a kid. He worships you,” Goose’s voice broke. He pressed a gloved hand to his face, trying to breathe through the pain in his chest. “He can’t loose his uncle like that, please Pete, honey,” his voice cracked into a hoarse cry.
The raft rocked violently as another wave passed beneath them. Goose held on to Maverick with everything he had.

Summary
“Are you happy with yourself?” Nat asked. “You’ve made him into a circus attraction.”
“Kinda,” Rooster laughed, crossing his arms. “It's his fault for falling asleep out here. Hey, who's got a sharpie?”
“Okay–” Nat huffed, setting her hands on her hips.
“I'm kidding, I'm kidding!”
“Floyd!” she said, her voice loud and assertive, and Bob jerked awake immediately, knocking his book off of his lap.
“Huh?” he breathed, lifting his head off of the back of the armchair. Fanboy snatched Bob's wallet back from Harvard, tucking it under his leg hastily. Halo took a step back from where she was leaned over peering at his book, but she knocked her shin into the coffee table and swore. Rooster clasped his hands behind his back and tucked the twenties into his pocket, making his best attempt at a poker face, but he knew he was failing miserably. And Hangman, thank fuck, finally muted his stupid phone and looked up in earnest.
“That woke him up,” Payback said under his breath
“That'd wake any of us up,” Fanboy replied, nervously glancing at Nat. “Was she a drill sergeant in a past life?”

Hop 31 canonically didn’t go well. A life was lost.
Except, what would happen if more than one life was lost? What if instead of an awful result, one of the absolute worst outcomes came to fruition?

"Maybe…" she says uncertainly. "I don't think that's quite right, though."
"You think he's married, or something?" Bob shifts a little in his bed to turn and face her better.
"Yeah. Maybe 'or something'," she says, glancing at him before looking up at the ceiling as she thinks it through. "I'm sure if we started a betting pool, someone would be able to figure it out."
