“For the contract?” Mingyu asked, feeling exceptionally stupid.
“How else am I to know if you're an honest man?”
“Fuck,” Mingyu muttered, trying very hard to pretend that didn't turn him on. “Right. Okay.”

A Trade Union envoy, such as Mingyu was, made deals with contracts and signatures. It was the most practical option, administratively speaking. But the galaxy was wide, the number of intelligent species uncountable, and customs and rituals around promises could vary dramatically.
Even so, the customs of the planet VC7-C7’s mainland were quite unique, and Mingyu was very lucky.

Summary
The thing is, Mingyu usually wouldn’t mind finding out his two best friends have started… doing whatever it is they’re doing. He’s happy for them, of course, because he loves them both and he wants them to be happy.
But it’s been three weeks since he got dumped and he’s not quite over the worst of it yet and whatever Minghao and Seokmin are doing they’re obviously trying to keep it a secret from him.
