From the corner of his eye, he sees Sawamura turn his way with a pointed look. "Do you really want to argue with the person doing you a favor?"
"Fair point," he says through a sigh. "What else?"
"Our first date was to the Cup Noodles Museum because we both thought it would be funny to honor the food that got us through University."
That also is different from what Tetsurou told Sawamura. He isn't sure if Sawamura forgot or is just fucking with him.or; Kuroo panics and tells his family that his plus one to his sister's wedding is Daichi.

Nikolai has weird dreams.
A bird, flapping its wings in desperation against metal bars. A cage with no key. A burning cross, silver hair stained red, one, final kiss from a man bleeding with despair. Its mother, hands on its cheeks, gentle smile on her lips, telling Nikolai that it is something special, that it is everything.
Nikolai itself, turning to dust under her touch as violet eyes watch from the shadows.
A red thread, on the ground, loose and frayed.or; Nikolai and Nathaniel are soulmates and not happy about it.

“Patience, sweetheart.”
“Hey!” Dazai protests. His work outfit and bandages are gone, replaced with a lacy black and silver lingerie that Chuuya bought her on a random rendezvous. He fiddles with his dangled earrings, making sure they're still in place. “That's my pet name.”
“Not today,” Chuuya says. They finally look back, taking in Dazai's attire and pose. Their grin turns feral and Dazai wants them to rip her to shreds. “Today you're a good girl, aren't you?” -

“I'm—” Oikawa clamps his mouth shut. The signs are obvious: he won't look at his face, he fiddles with his pen, there's a blush on his cheeks that won't fade, and his voice is anything but smooth.
“Fine. Iwa-chan said I'm too afraid to open up and commit to anybody.” He dares a glance up, then, seeing Sugawara looking at him in confusion. “Help me prove him wrong?”or; Oikawa makes a bet with Iwaizumi and wrangles in Sugawara to help him win it. Feelings ensue.

Chuuya grits their teeth and asks for more missions, more time away from this city and the curse shackling them to it. Chuuya asks for more chances to run away from its fate reflected in brown eyes, even as its chest burns red and its bones ache. It can't stop. If they stop, they'll think, and if they think, they'll drive themself to an even earlier grave.
They cough a camelia onto the body of a man they have just torn apart.

Fyodor always wore white. The color of purity and innocence. Nikolai considers everything he did and everything he made it do. The world for Nikolai is not black and white. The world is gray, murky, and full of madness. That’s what it likes about this world. Fyodor wanted it to see the world how he did, full of black, black, black, with him as the shining example of what was just. The white is stained red now, bright and damning, darkening as it absorbs more and more life.

The two things Dazai hates most in life are pain and losing.
And this is what losing looks like: a dance with Death, a sweet embrace, a gentle caress, and then Death leaves. It looks like one eye opening to find life once again crashing in; a promise of breath, not of rest.
And this is what losing feels like: biting metal and bubbling, boiling blood. Something manic rising from the chest into the throat, escaping lips like a high pitched bark. It feels like slicing skin to slivers but still not ever feeling like anything was pieced together in the first place. Jouno lifts a hand, fingers curled and relaxed, the sun resting in his palm. He shifts, slowly, and then a finger brushes against Dazai's palm, just above his bandage.
Flinching, Dazai pulls their hand away, pressing it as a fist to their chest.
“I said not to be weird about it,” Jouno says with a frown.
“I thought you said my hands felt like death.”or; Dazai's nullifying touch is everything Jouno craves.

Kunikida's schedule burned to ash and was replaced with two emotionally stunted assholes. Both of them grew up in violence, death dangling from their fingertips. They both still seem so unsure when Kunikida holds them gently, or when Kunikida strokes their cheeks, or when Kunikida tells them that he thinks that they are kind, genuinely, when they want to be. Chuuya and Dazai both prefer silent communication over saying anything meaningful and it drives Kunikida mad.
He thinks he might love them terribly.
