"KUNIKIDA!"
The voice slices through the haze like a blade against ice—sharp, sudden, and groundbreaking. Kunikida lets out a quiet gasp, his eyes snapping to the source. He looks up, away from the endless crowd and towards a balcony, where someone is leaning over the railings, waving wildly.
"Ranpo," he whispers, the name ghosting past his lips and leaving behind a sweet aftertaste.
or, a prince, a knight, and all the ways they couldn’t say i love you.

Summary
Despite the violent approach, Poe can’t really complain as he melts into Ranpo’s warm touch. “It is winter after all , Ranpo.” The more time he spends here, the closer they seem to stand. Poe shuffles his feet in the fleeting snow.
He doesn’t seem to like that answer. There’s a wrinkle right in between Ranpo’s eyes. “You shouldn’t be cold anymore, Poe,” Ranpo frowns.
---Poe isn't a huge fan of the cold, but Ranpo seems to have a solution for that.

Summary
“his name is ranpo edogawa, and he just turned fourteen recently. he’s had, let me see… twenty-three professors in the span of six years.”
“twenty-three,” fukuzawa echoes. what mess was he getting wrapped up in this time? “why?”
“there's nothing wrong with him,” taneda says. “it’s just that no professor has been able to match his energy. i’d hate to see such a brilliant mind be extinguished.”

Summary
"You… It wasn't like this before, was it?’
The modest living room was bathed in soft pink light, courtesy of various assorted lava lamps placed around it. The coffee table and sofa that usually sat in the center had been shoved against a wall, an old woolly rug spread out in their place. On a table by the fireplace stood a gramophone, disc loaded and ready.
Ranpo grinned as she dumped the bag on the table and began unpacking it. “Nope! I set it up while you were out. It’s our New Year party!”
OR
Last year, Poe opened up about her adverse experience with New Year's parties in America. This year, Ranpo decided to do something about that.

“What’s New Year's Eve like in America?”
Poe wrinkled her nose.
“Dreadful.” She replied honestly. “Why do you ask?”
