Trey has no idea about this, and when Trey proposes the idea to kiss in one of the last parts of the movie, Matt finds himself getting nervous that he'll accidentally let it slip that he likes Trey.
TLDR; Matt has a big crush on Trey that gets worse with time until he finally lets it slip. Based in 1997-8.
