Kilgharrah's thoughts as he rescues Merlin from the serkets. You see, the Great Dragon knows something that Merlin doesn't. Namely, he knows that a serket sting is invariably fatal. No human medicine is of the slightest use against that venom; that's no secret. But more than that, no magic-- human, sidhe, or dragon-- can do more than ease the pain. There is, simply, nothing to be done, and Kilgharrah knows that. He also knows that he can't let Merlin know that.

I really disliked how they treated Jaskier (and Eskel) in Season 2.

Summary
Jaskier grasped Geralt’s body from under the armpits and tugged hard, attempting to drag his friend away. The acid on Geralt’s armor ate his flesh and Jaskier screamed, yet his hold remained firm.
He felt his arms and hands burn as he continued to drag the Witcher deeper into the forest, towards the stream. The acidic smell was nauseating, already threatening to pull him unconscious. With slow, painful steps, he dragged the Witcher to the stream, burning his fingers as he ripped the armor off his friend, the acid already eating through his gloves. The pain in his fingers was agonizing, drawing tears from his eyes as he divested his friend from the armor, then dragged him into the shallow water to wash the acid away.
(A contract turned wrong leaves Geralt and Jaskier injured)

Merlin does a lot for Camelot and those he cares about. It’s a full time job on top of his full time job. A lot of it is stressful. Most of it is traumatising on some level. That kind of thing tends to catch up to a person.
Or, Merlin is exhausted. He collapses in front of the knights and they take him to Gaius. However, Merlin is both traumatised and very powerful. His magic needs to make sure he’s safe just as much as the knights do.
