Summary
Calling Batman a criminal is a gross understatement of the kind of mythical monster he's built himself up as, to the point a single ordinary man is a league level threat. Even then the League doesn't know who he really is.
Calling Robin a criminal is a gross oversimplification of the complex feelings Wally has of friendship-rivalry-dread-relief-fear-joy whenever he encounters Robin on a mission.
And calling Wally and Robin's relationship difficult is a gross overestimation of how solid the lines or good and evil are, and how unwilling they are to mix their personal feelings of kinship with their very opposing professions.
No, Wally and Robin are the easy part, it's everyone and everything else that makes what should be an easy friendship much, much more complicated

“James, that might be the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard come out of your mouth.” Albus stated drily. “and believe me, there’s a lot to compete with.”
They’d met in the Room of Requirement, James slipped him a note at dinner proclaiming they had something very important to discuss. Albus very much regretted telling Scorpius he would be fine to meet on his own.
“Come on Al! This is perfectly safe now, Dad and Aunt Hermione checked, the Time-Turner doesn’t write over our timeline, it’s some alternate dimension thing.” James attempted to convince him.
“I reiterate: That’s the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Al seriously, don’t you want to see what they were really like when they were our age? I left a note, just in case and I’m even taking you along as the resident time travel expert.”
“I’m not the resident time travel expert, Scorpius is, and his expert opinion has always been ‘just don’t time travel.’” Albus hissed, warily eyeing the golden pendant James was carelessly waving around.
Or
Albus does manage to convince James that time travel is a bad idea, so they factor that out of any adventure plans.
Unfortunately, no plan ever survives first contact.

Voltron return to Earth story with Lance in a limbo state of maybe-death and all of them, plus Lance’s family having to deal with that and maintain hope that he will live.
It’s very gut wrenching at times, but it’s hopeful and healing. -

The best Akechi palace au I’ve read. There are plot twists, mystery, deceit and subversions. Everything is in plain sight, yet nothing is as it seems.
It’s a very Akechi place, really, simple on the surface, complicated underneath; lying to your face while still being extremely open.
Good story all round.

A dissection of Dave and Bro’s relationship and dynamic from pre-sburb life. Bro both caring about Dave and being the source of all his suffering - Dave’s hero worship of his brother clashing with the slow realisation that he’s bad for him. The violence of Bro’s training and the knowledge that he really was trying to prepare Dave for a world where he’d need it.
It’s a very good exploration of Bro’s love and guardianship and how his knowledge of the future has pervaded every aspect of his relationship with Dave with paranoia and a frantic need to ensure he survives while simultaneously ruining any chance of having a good relationship with Dave as his guardian or allowing him to live in any sort of comfort or security before Sburb.
From Dave’s perspective as someone who knows nothing of the future, Bro is a needlessly violent and terrifying figure whose entire motivations are fuelled by a cryptic and unknowable drive to ‘prepare him’. Dave can never change their dynamic because he never knows why it’s like this in the first place.That was a tangent. The point is, good story, good character analysis.

Some good Jiang Cheng-centric world building, retrospection on the rebuilding of the Jiang sect and how it could happen. This does a good job of allowing characters to have their flaws and issues without and bashing or hating on them.
It’s nice to see a work that can acknowledge that basically all sides of these fallouts were wrong in some way, even while they all came from very well meaning and heartfelt places - that’s what makes it all the more tragic in the end. -

An incredible Tokoyami centred piece tackling the moral ambiguity of their world. It’s got everything, dubious mento Dabi, complicated Tokoyami and Dark Shadow relations, Hawks infiltration mission, moral dilemmas, betrayal of every kind from all direction with good reason. It’s the whole sha-bang!
There’s also immense suffering and hard times, Tokoyami cannot catch a break ever.
