He unlocked the pane and started shoving the window open, leaning out to talk to the person below. He opened his mouth and a rock collided with his face, causing him to let out an embarrassing yelp in pain.
“Oh, oh no, you stuck your head out,” the figure said, voice wobbling. “Oh my God, I’m sorry.”
The rock had been too softly lobbed to do much permanent damage but it stung, causing him to scrunch up his face as tears welled in his eyes. He rubbed the insides of his eyes with his fingers as he responded, through gritted teeth, “who are you?”
He wasn’t sure if his voice properly carried down from his window, trying not to be too loud so as to not wake his dad, but the figure below responded regardless. “Hey there, uhm, baby. I’m your soulmate! … I think!”

Summary
Immediately upon recognising Will, Mike drops to one knee with a tremendous force and bows his head down, low. After a few seconds he lifts his head slowly, eyes looking directly into Will’s.
“William,” he says. “The Wise.”
Will’s eyes dart from Mike to Nancy and back to Mike again, his bleary-eyed tiredness completely gone.
“Wha…,” is all he can manage to muster up in response.
Nancy nods sagely.
“Sorry to do this to you, Will, but I needed to leave for work, like, thirty minutes ago, so please,” she clasps her hands together, her tone pleading, “deal with this?”Due to a 'clerical' error, Mike's DnD alter shows up at Will's doorstep, while the real Mike is nowhere to be found...

Will had just graduated from high school and him and the gang were playing DnD, sharing some tears, and heading upstairs for Mike's mom's lasagna.
That was until the ground began to shake, leading him and Mike to fall into an alternate dimension and... another version of Mike?

"Mike slowly got up from the chair he was sitting in, and kneeled towards the ground, like he was proposing. What the fuck, Will’s mind and heart racing instantly, what the actual fuck. Mike grabbed onto Will’s hands, cupping them between his own.
“Will the Wise,” Mike started, head bowed downwards, “I apologize, I broke my oath. During the battle against the Order of the Black Hand, I failed you. I shall live in eternal regret for not having put my life before your own. I am sure this situation must be disconcerting, but I assure you that you will now be unharmed, as the Order was defeated. I hope I can compensate someday for my detestable actions. I am indebted to the Gods that I was able to retrieve you from the afterlife, my sorcerer.”
