A groan rolled through Gris and he paused in his thrusts long enough to wrap both hands around Enjin’s throat. Golden eyes snapped open to meet his baby blue and a momentary wave of panic swept through Enjin’s face.
But when Gris squeezed, when he pressed his fingertips into the sides of Enjin’s throat, palms settling against the hollow, Enjin’s mouth turned slack.
Enjin asks Gris to choke him during sex and Gris can't say he hasn't thought about it.

As such, Hawks understandably has many questions when he picks up a call from his intern in the middle of the night and hears the villain Dabi on the other line, frantic because Hawks' intern just got shot in a back alley in Shizuoka city. Questions such as: what the fuck was Dabi thinking, taking his intern out so late at night? But also: what the fuck is Dabi doing hanging out with his intern at all? And: what the hell is Shouto doing hanging around the man who tried to murder his dad on national television?
And, most importantly: why does Dabi seem to care so much about Endeavour's son?

Summary
Any good story is made up of more than sentences. If all it it came down to was mere words, printed on a page, somewhere, every story would die sooner or later.
In their meat-grinder of a world, paper was a privilege and a death-sentence for a story. So they inscribed their stories into each other instead - so that they could be passed from skin to skin, sign to sign, sigh to sigh. Until the story became more than a story, and became history instead.
As everybody knew, though - history was only written by the idiots that made it. So they would just have to make it long enough to see what their story became.
