Summary
In the days leading up to the first time Shane Hollander faces his old Montreal team with the Ottawa Centaurs, he kinda goes through it. Maybe a lot of bullshit built up over the years. Maybe now that he's finally in a place to deal with it, he starts to.
Featuring my beloved Centaurs taking care of their own, a couple of very early mornings, a minor meltdown at practice, a slightly bigger meltdown at a barbecue, and one Shane Hollander finally coming home.

“Just tell me one thing.” He was almost pleading, and something in Shane finally snapped loose.
“Which thing, Ilya?” he demanded, words rushing out of him unbidden. “That I fucking miss them? That I miss the stupid locker room and the stupid arena and the stupid city? That I miss my friends?” Shane’s eyes burned. “Or at least the people I thought were my friends? And that I feel guilty about it all the time.” He closed his eyes against the hurt he was sure would be written all over Ilya’s face by now.
“Or the thing about how much better everyone is here? Is that what you want to hear? It’s better here, everyone is better here. They are. Everyone is nicer, to me, to each other, to the staff. Do you want to hear the thing about how stupid I feel, believing that they were really my friends, that I had done enough?”

Summary
Six months ago, Shane’s intimate conversation and break-up with Rose Landry was recorded and leaked. In those six months, his life had completely upended and everything had changed, for better or for worse. Except for Ilya. He still has Ilya, and he’s beginning to understand that he always will.
It’s 2018. Shane Hollander has to figure out his new life, in a new city, on a new team, while being out to the world but not by his own choice. Ilya, along for the ride, also has to learn what it means to be connected to a place, to a person, and to his own inner truth.
(Sequel to “something you can fix,” set post-Heated Rivalry, pre-The Long Game)

Summary
Ilya’s dad dies right before the 2017 All-Star Game, so he never learns that Shane and Rose broke up. While he’s in Russia, a threat from his brother makes him ask Svetlana for help and marry her so he can get a US green card—it’s meant to be a discreet, simple thing, but the Boston tabloids get a hold of it and then it’s all over social media. Three months later, Shane Hollander holds a press conference to share two things: he's leaving Montreal to play for the Ottawa Centaurs, and he's gay.

Summary
Ilya doesn't remember the moment his head hit the pavement or the sound of screeching brakes.
He's forgotten he ever left Russia, and the names Yuna Hollander and Shane mean nothing to him, though these people clearly know him pretty well.

The Voyageurs ask Shane to join FanMail in order to foster a better connection with fans. Internet sleuths start to notice some interesting details in the background of Shane’s videos, and then the internet does...what the internet does.
Or Shane and Ilya are granted an opportunity to come out on their own terms. Sort of. And in they do it in a very Ilya way. (Surprisingly, it is Shane’s idea)
