Summary
Three years into Anne of Austria’s Regency, there are rumblings of dissent. With Anne and Aramis at odds over policy, Aramis feels the gulf between them is wider than ever. With Aramis seemingly having disappeared without a trace, the queen frets. Aramis, meanwhile, is held captive in the tunnels and dungeons beneath the Château de Brézé, and he fears this may not be a trap he can escape from on his own.

Summary
