Summary
Sometimes, Commander Fox thinks there are advantages to being a line trooper. It's a short life, but many of them will die without ever having to see what they're dying for. All they know of the Republic is the oath they swore on Kamino. The Coruscant Guards know better; the politics and and power and corruption that thrive in the planet-wide city at the heart of it all. Few of the inhabitants are worth a brother's life.
Still. There are consolations. If Fox had been a normal clone, he would never have known that Riyo Chuchi existed. But then he would never have had to pretend professional indifference. She's a lady; more than that, she's smart and kind and durasteel to the backbone. Fox? He looks better than Thire does in kama, but - he shouldn't think about her.
