As Peter got into the car and buckled his seatbelt, he felt Tony's hand press against his forehead. The man’s frown deepened, and he started taking off his watch.
“Put this on,” he instructed.
“Huh? Why?” Peter took a moment longer than he usually would to react. His thoughts were muddled and lagging.
“It has sensors,” Tony said. “I want to check your temperature.”
“Okay,” Peter mumbled, pressing his cheek against the glass of the car window. “But I don't think it's that bad.”
Tony helped him fasten the device around his wrist. He scrolled through the little screen until he found what he was looking for. His breath caught when he read the number.

After taking a brief hiatus due to being sick, Peter is ready to jump back into life as Spider-Man. Unfortunately, his body has other plans.
It's some Irondad and Spiderson fluff, largely inspired by the dozens of similar fics on this website I have read.

Pepper assumes Tony is faking an illness to get out of a less than fun business event. Turns out, this time he was actually sick.

“I couldn’t exactly say no. And he gave me this suit!”
“Have you even read the Accords?”
“Uh… Accords?”
“Right. Come on. We’re going to see Foggy.”
“Oh, Pete.” Foggy said. “You know he can’t legally do that, right? You don’t have to go with him if you don’t want to.”
“But I do. Kind of. It’s Mr. Stark. He’s a hero.”
“Hmmm. Matty, get out the big binder. We’re doing this properly.”
Peter goes to try and stop civil war. It goes predictably badly. He's going to need a lawyer

Peter knew where Daredevil lived now. He wouldn’t go there, obviously. He didn’t want to die. So he decided the best way to ingratiate himself with the Devil was to chase crooks just a little too far over the border from Midtown, then leave them webbed up in an alley somewhere. Gifts. Like a cat. Ned thought this was hilarious.
It worked, too. After the third time, the Devil came to find him. Or rather, the Devil was cosplaying a gargoyle on the roof Peter was about to land on on his way out of the Kitchen.
“What are you doing, kid?”
“Train me?”
“How about no?”
“Aww, come on!”
“I can assure you, there are better gifts than bicycle thieves if you’re trying to court someone. Kids these days...”
With that he was gone. Ninja.
Next time, Peter brought him a mugger.

It was almost midnight when the noise started. It hit Peter right in the auditory cortex, quiet, insistent, whining but somehow also melodic, in the upper ranges of his hearing. He paused his patrol for a moment on the side of a building and closed his eyes to listen more carefully. It was probably out of reach of most humans, but a few dogs barked in the distance. He followed the sound, swinging above the late-night streets, still alert for any signs of trouble.
It was coming from a warehouse by the docks in Hell’s Kitchen. The Devil’s territory. Peter hadn’t met Daredevil, and he was pretty sure he wanted it to stay that way. Sure, he admired the man (was he even a man? The jury was out on that one) for his alleged takedowns of mob bosses, and the Bulletin had mentioned something about ninjas, which Peter thought was seriously cool, but come on, he was scary. Like – really scary. In a way that your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man was resolutely not. And never would be, thank you very much.
For all that the papers seemed to like the Devil better.

Tony’s phone only rings during important meetings for a select few. So, the last thing Tony was expecting to get in the middle of an important meeting (that he really had zero interest in) was to get a phone call from Peter Parker. To be honest, he really shouldn't have been surprised. It’s totally something Peter would do, but it still took him a moment to realize that it was his phone that had disrupted the meeting. His phone that had everyone stop mid sentence to look at him.

James "Bucky" Barnes was back in town and living in the tower. Now when it came to Peter, hanging out with Steve now meant hanging out with Barnes too. And predictably, Peter had no problem including Barnes into his inner circle. It was his luck that Tony just had to get a kid with a heart as big as New York City itself.
So Tony pushed down any ill feelings and swallowed them up. If he’d learned anything from his short time as a parent, it was that you had to pick your battles. Barnes was in no apparent danger of slipping back into his old programming and Peter was happy, so it was fine.
It was all fine. Seriously, it was fine.
