Boromir was holding the Ring on its chain in his hand. Gold shone red under the weak sunlight, and his thumb swept over it with an odd tenderness. There was a strange light in his eyes.
“What are you going to do?” Pippin heard himself ask.
There was silence for a moment. Then Boromir laughed, sudden and loud and defiant in the still air. He turned and knelt down, and Pippin fought the urge to step back from the wild, angry joy in his face. He kept very still and did not flinch when Boromir took him by the shoulders.
“My friend,” Boromir said, the light red on his face and his eyes gleaming fey. “We are going to bring back the sun.”
Boromir takes the Ring.

Anakin's mouth opened up, and nothing came out at first, just a tiny croak of air. But he concentrated on Obi-Wan’s warmth on his shoulder. This time, he forced the words out, like pushing air through a clogged pipe.
“Mr. Palpatine.”
And the moment it released into the air, he felt he’d just thrashed a gong the way the sound, as small as it was, filled their apartment. He swallowed as Obi-Wan stared at him.
“The Chancellor,” he said.
(Or: A distraught Anakin comes home from somewhere he shouldn't have been, Obi-Wan is concerned, and the world rights itself from their conversation. Also, f*** Palpatine.)

A series of Good Omens/Stardew Valley ficlets I've been posting on tumblr as I play through thunderheadfred's "Stardew Omens" mod (which replaces Harvey with Aziraphale as the town doctor). Knowledge of the game provides some additional context for the NPCs etc but really it's all about the ineffable farm romance here.
Note: E rating is for the end of chapter 4 only. The rest of the fic is all very tame.

Most visitors to A.Z. Fell's bookshop in Soho would say they have some trouble in the store - they can't find the owner or the book they would like, or the place doesn't take cards. For a borrower taking up residence in the cozy shop, the problems that can arise are entirely different. Oscar isn't prepared for his encounter with the very humanlike owner of the shop.
Then again, Aziraphale isn't prepared for his encounter with this miniature visitor, either.
