Simon Blackquill is a very shy man.
Though, no one can tell with his cold façade he puts on. In prison he didn't show any weakness– he couldn't, or he'd be a target. In the outside world, it's far more comfortable letting people into his life. Besides, he doesn't need anyone other than his current friends. He's perfectly fine with his small circle.
However, quite recently, someone else came into his life. Someone who, despite knowing him for little over a year, had given him so much love his heart may as well shatter.

Summary
Apollo liked Klavier, and Klavier liked Apollo. That was a fact, a fact that could easily be proven when asking the two about the other. Because of this, their respective friendgroups have always had to deal with their constant gay shenanigans. They’ve always wanted the two to finally get together, but they had no idea how.
One day, when Clay and Ema are paired up for an astronomy assignment, they end up talking about their gay ass pining friends. They realize that if they harness the powers of both friendgroups, they might finally be able to get the two idiots together.
So they did just that, merging their friend groups in a groupchat with the shared goal of getting Apollo and Klavier together. It may have been a terrible idea, but that doesn’t stop them

“What’s up?”
“I’m calling regarding Prosecutor Gavin. I understand you two work very closely together, so I figured you might know something.”
Klavier? Was something wrong? Apollo couldn’t ignore that this wasn’t sitting right with him already.
“Uh, yeah, what about him? Is something wrong?”
“That’s the problem; I’m not entirely sure. See, he just handed in a letter of resignation that is effective immediately.”
