Summary
Hermione Granger is tired of being in a loveless marriage and a thankless job at the ministry. Despite a stupid mistake years ago, she hopes that Severus Snape, Headmaster of Hogwarts, has finally forgiven her and will hire her to teach.
Severus has no intention of forgiving Hermione Granger for a youthful indiscretion even if he knows he's over reacting. But then he realizes, this Hermione Granger is all grown up and despite trying to stay away he simply can't. Especially when someone tries to murder her.
As circumstances push them together, Hermione realizes that her divorce is simply one door closing, while teaching at Hogwarts and falling for the man determined to protect her is another opening.
