Donnie stiffens, hands frozen mid motion, but he doesn't turn to look at Leo. His hands seem to recover before his brain does, and he resumes fiddling with the circuitry on a board idly before he finds the right words.
"Nothing. I just... wanted to know if you thought I was... compatible with anyone?" Donnie says, but even he sounds unsure of himself.

"Dad, you gotta relax. Don't you trust us?" Leo asks, throwing him his biggest puppy eyes. He leans in conspiratorially, but doesn't bother lowering his voice. "Between you and me, I think it'd be a good exercise for Donnie anyways. He doesn't train with us enough. It'd be a good opportunity to make him practice his ninja skills."
"Hey!" Donnie objects, annoyed, before he remembers Leo is- regrettably- on his side. "I mean- yes, exactly! Plus may I remind you- since you both seem to forget- this could be a matter of national importance!"

Through routine surveillance on the Purple Dragons, Donnie discovers a technological conspiracy that could have devastating consequences for the entire nation.Unable to sit idly by with tech that dangerous unaccounted for, he convinces Leo to accompany him on a mission to recover it.
The only issue? It's all the way in Chicago.
