Summary
*Spoilers(?) for the original FF7*
His knees finally buckled in Sector 8, where his back fell against the elevated train station platform. Something cold dripped onto his head but he didn’t have much thought to spare for that. Instead, his hand tightened around the handle of a massive broadsword sitting in his lap. It was at least five feet long, grubby from what he knew was years of use. It had been years of use, because it was his sword, and he’d had it for as long as he could remember. SOLDIER 1st Class, that’s what he was. But it was all a bit hazy wasn’t it? Warped in the wrong places, too many people or not enough? One him? Many hims? It was all a bit green, now that he thought about it.

He tried, halfheartedly, to drag another heel forward, but it was just too heavy. Another thought struck him, unbidden, unwelcome. Was he dead? He was dead, wasn’t he. Just like Ben. Peter's experiences inside the soul stone. SPOILERS FOR INFINITY WAR. Disclaimer: I do not own the characters used in this story, they are MARVEL properties.

Summary
So I was rewatching the 2nd remake trailer and this just sort of popped into my head. When Cloud is fighting the infantrymen before he makes his daring escape on the train, one of them seems to recognize him. So I figured I would write a drabble from his perspective.
/////
I saw him again last night, that kid infantryman I told you about? Ya know, years ago? Yeah, you know the one? The blonde one? No? Well, lemme tell ya again, ‘cause that kid was somethin’ else. He wasn’t like me… or any of the other troopers in the squad, for that matter. He tried to get into SOLDIER, twice. And you know how that is, shit’s damn hard what with all the mako…. eh, well, point is he didn’t make it or I wouldn’t be tellin’ ya this now would I?
Rated for language and descriptions of PTSD.

Summary
“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.

Summary
John has bad timing. Really, seriously, bad timing. He’s missed his cue, procrastinated, dithered, and now it’s embarrassing.
“Roger would likely set me up with a professional escort, and while I know they would be classy, sophisticated, and discrete, I don’t think that would solve the problem that I’m terrified. Brian would probably drag me to a sex therapist or something, offering to take notes and do research for me,” John finally blurted out, admitting his worst fears about his two other best friends in the world if they discovered his secret.

Summary
"It's the damnedest thing, but I don't recall seeing the three of you at practice." Boots tap on the floor. "Am I to assume that you simply... forgot?"
"Sorry, sir!"
The response is immediate, and—
and his voice sounds younger. His head is stuffed with cotton. The tone the military officer uses is familiar in its domineering condescension. Cloud is suddenly very, very small, and he is a face in a crowd of many and he is not special and he will never be because this is where you learn you are anything but. He thinks the infantry beside him parrot his apology, but it's a beat or two late.

Summary
While Zack and Sephiroth go to check the reactor, Cloud is charged with protecting the lady. He and Tifa have a one sided conversation at the top of Nibel mountain.
-
He’s convinced the goddess is not on his side when they finally do reach the reactor and Sephiroth bars Tifa from entering. Zack orders Cloud to “watch the lady.” while he and Sephiroth go inside.
He only holds out an arm to get in Tifa’s way as an immediate reaction to receiving an order. Without his Infantry training, he doubts he would have remembered to do so. Goddess help him, he’s about to be alone with Tifa for the first time in two years.
Tifa grunts in frustration, predictably, and stomps a foot into the dirt, but gives up just as quickly. She turns her back on Cloud, walking in a small circle and muttering to herself. “Oh, sure, walk me up the dangerous, monster infested mountain, Tifa, just to not let you inside the one place we were supposed to go. Whatever. Fine. Don’t even care.” She turns on Cloud, suddenly, pointing an accusing finger at his chest plate. “You better keep me safe.”
